Hostgator was my favorite hosting for quite a while. But now i just hate them. One of the main reason is that their live support is useless. If you click on that fancy live chat button , It will ask you to fill a form , will show you some irrelevant article suggestions and FOR SURE it will ask you to wait 30 minutes. AND after 30 minutes, it will show you a thank you message and nothing. COME ON, Is this some joke ?
They will offer you a file limit of 250000, But they will not backup your website if you store more than 100000 files.
They will offer you unlimited space, LOL .. just go to their privacy policy page and you will find their is nothing unlimited in their world. Everything is limited. If anyhow you website creates a extra pressure on their server, they will simply cut you down.
They say 99.9% uptime guaranteed. According to pingdom their uptime was 94% on my website. crappp...
I have posted a support ticket around 10 days ago. I got no reply. Today when i went their to check, I found they deleted my support ticket without answering it.
So overall if you want to buy a hosting without support and full of limitation , Go ahead for hostgator.
